Pick Up
Containers must be placed out for service no later than 5:00am on the day of collection. Both cans will be picked up every week and lids must close completely for proper pick up. Do not overfill containers.
Cans should be placed on the street surface (not on the sidewalk) and away from vehicles. Cans should be placed so that the lid opening faces the street or alley.
Gilton does not pick up on New Year's Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, or Christmas Day. If your normal collection day falls on one of those holidays, your collection day will fall one day later that week.
Please note: BOTH Garbage and Green Waste Service is mandatory for all City of Escalon residents.
